Underground producer Bomb 20, aka
Berlin-based David Skiba, releases his
long-awaited follow-up to the excellent
Field Manual, the classic lesson in
cut-up deviance hailed by NME as the
best pop album of 1999 originally
released on Alec Empires notorious
Digital Hardcore label. Bombs obsessive
and alternately poignant/hilarious vocal
sample cut-ups are combined with a new
production quality, honed through
collaborations with Gonzales and Peaches
and remix work for Max Turner, Hanayo
and Angie Reed, amongst others.
Previously accessible only to the more
extreme electro dancefloors, the current
live set and new material has taken on a
more polished electro sound while
retaining the hip-hop subsonics and
rough-edged breaks familiar to Bomb 20
fans. Tracks such as Rich meld a
greater melodic emphasis to a thundering
tech- funk break and civil rights-themed
vocal splices. Forever allies 9/11
news soundbites with Assault On
Precinct 13 style synth riffs; and The
Funeral, with its dubbed-out
frequencies and top horn lines. Nasty,
but deliciously so.

This release is enviromentally friendly!!
Were not going to write your usual
cliched disclaimer here about supp-
orting the artists and buying their
cds and not spreading this release
on p2p networks. No, were going to
be honest with one another for just
a moment. By searching for this
release and downloading it, youre
admitting that your sole intention
is to pirate this cd and theres
nothing i can say or do to make you
purchase this cd after listening.
Now there are a few honest folks
out there who abide by the try it
before you it buy it formula, and
while we do admire that, we think
you guys are full of shit too. You
& i both know youre headed off to
eBay aka the worlds largest garage
sale to purchase it & in the grand
scheme of things, the artists wont
see a penny of it. Your money will
however be going into the hands of
the USPS, Paypal, more middle men,
and then into the pocket of some
jerkoff at another corporation
completely unrelated to the artist.
Hey,chances are you the honest user
will be the one purchasing this cd
when i auction it off on eBay a few
weeks from now. So youre a thief,
im a thief, your moms a thief & a
whore, were all thiefs and whores.
If you truly want to support your
favorite artists, go to the shows,
buy the t-shirts, tell your friends
about your favorite band, & purchase
everything directly from the artists
themselves. Take a stand against
soulless corporate conglomerates and
fight the future.
